About Santa's Elves

There are lots of Elves that help Santa Claus. They are like a big family, all looking out for each other. Santa's Elves live in the North Pole and don't travel out into the rest of the world very often, if ever. This is because they are very, very shy. Santa's elves are tiny and even small children seem very big to an elf. The elves find the outside world quite frightening and prefer to stay in their village where they feel safe. All elves work really hard, but the main positions are held by these elves:

Elgin Raudur

Head elf, his main jobs include being in charge of the Christmas letters and Santa's List of Good Children. Santa's letters must be in the post box on time, so there's no disappointed children at Christmas time. The List is updated every minute so looking after it is very important and only the most trusted of Santa's elves are allowed to look after it. Elgin has proved to Father Christmas that he is a very reliable elf, but he can be a bit clumsy at times (maybe because of the extra long points he wears on his boots- this is power dressing elf-style).

Redda Bibi

Elf in charge of looking after Santa's Reindeer. Training is a big part of the job, as the reindeer need to be really fit and super fast to make the epic journey on Christmas Eve. Also, just the right amount of magic dust has to be given to each reindeer to help it fly, without bouncing off into the clouds or dragging below the rest of the team. Redda has to do lots of calculations to make sure the reindeers weight and speed are right. He has to be very careful with the amount of food the reindeer eat for the best speed and flying height. The yucky bit of the job is mucking out the reindeer stables, but Redda doesn't like to talk about it very much.

Jablin Fablor

Toy Designer and giver of happiness. Jablin is the clown in the elf team, always making the others giggle. There's some of his favourite jokes listed here. It is said that his laughter is magical and gets mixed into the toys he designs, making every Christmas present that Santa delivers even more fun.

Spelan Droppa

Manufacturing guru. No production line in the world is as efficient, speedy and precise as any this elf is in charge of. A bit of Christmas Elf magic goes a long way. All day and night the machines are clattering, Spelan peering through his silver rimmed glasses ready to tweak this or prod that to make the toy-making machines even better.

Biem Dobles

Sleigh maintenance and fine tuning. Once, Dobles was heard saying, “From the driving seat of a Dobler 3000 Sleigh, a country is the size of a small coconut”. Sometimes, Redda and Dobles argue over which of them is mainly responsible for the amazing speed Santa can travel the world and deliver the presents. We wonder who Santa feels the credit should go to...
